HEADROOM

B E X Warne

With over a decade of experience working across community music and the arts, I bring together a background in creative practice, psychology and therapeutic work.

I have worked professionally in music for the past seven years, alongside five years of study and training in therapy. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and an undergraduate degree in Social Science.

My work is particularly informed by experience supporting people and communities affected by missing people, Indigenous communities, addiction, trauma and complex life experiences. These experiences have shaped an approach to counselling that is compassionate, creative and grounded in the realities of people’s lives.

I also have a particular interest in working with people in the music, the arts and creative industries - including musicians, actors, performers, entertainers and other artists. Creative careers can bring unique pressures, from identity and self-worth to performance, uncertainty, relationships, burnout and the demands of working in public-facing industries. My experience within music allows me to understand these worlds not just therapeutically, but from within the creative environment itself.

I believe counselling can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what is happening, and explore what might come next - without judgement and without needing to have everything figured out.

I’m currently preparing to open a limited number of therapy spaces later this year. Resources, information and further support materials will also be available here soon.
